About Me
I am a mathematician, and I love to explain mathematics in a simplest possible way.

How I Use Maths In My Job:
This question sounds like “how do you use food”. For most people the answer is obvious: “I eat it”. But I am not only an eater, I am also a cook.
Of course, I use mathematics, but I also make mathematics for other people to use. And I teach students to use mathematics — I am like a chef in a fancy restaurant who explains to guests how to eat an exotic dish.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Mathematician and Grandad

No-one. I just tried to do what was interesting.

Laughing at arithmetic how it is used on TV and in newspapers.
What did you think about Maths when you were in school?
That it was exciting, but had to be treated with respect.
What did you want to be after you left school?
Mathematician
Were you ever in trouble at school?
No. At a kindergarten: telling the left boot from the right one.

Perhaps law or journalism

I am an old man, so The Beatles.
What's your favourite food?
When I was a boy: fish just caught by me and baked with wild onions in hot sand under a small campfire.

Tell us a joke.
All people can be divided in 10 groups: those who understand binaries and those who don't.
