CHATs are 40-minute text-based sessions for students to talk with mathematicians.
On clicking ‘Confirm Booking’ you’ll see a confirmation message, and will receive an email confirming your booking.

Live chat support
Teachers – Book a chat with the mathematicians using the form on this page.
Mathematicians – Use this list to find all available chats – you can go to any of them. Use your Zone Dashboard to accept chats and tell teachers you will be there.
Teachers – Booking a chat:
- You need to be logged in to book a chat
- You need to book the chat using the correct student batch codes for that zone
- Chats are 30 minutes long
- We’ll confirm your chat booking with an email
Useful information:
- If you need to cancel or rearrange your chat for any reason, click “cancel” next to the booking on your dashboard.
- The latest you’ll be able to book a live chat is 24 hours in advance; this allows the mathematicians enough time to let us know if they can make it.
- View your dashboard to see which mathematicians will be at your chat. If no one is available at your booking time, we’ll be in touch with you to rearrange.
