There is a branch of Mathematics called optimisation. It helps one develop a model such that cost of missed predictions by the model is least. The type of model I develop not only identifies the adrenal hormone disease a baby/child/adult is suffering from, it also identifies which hormones are responsible for that condition. And it is optimisation step of developing my machine learning algorithm/classifier that makes the models such that the most accurate mathematical representation of each hormone condition has been found. This classifier enables early diagnosis and even provides knowledge about the condition, the patient’s relative condition wrt the prototype, and enables faster delivery of treatment. With early diagnosis, faster treatment, a patient’s life is saved, and saving a life is priceless, don’t you think ?
