• Question: Do children across the country seem to be becoming more/less intelligent from your experiences?

      myt EXPERIENCE is irrelevant
      one needs to look at DATA from exam reults and internatioal comparisons
      also look at exam questions – getting easire all the time. part of dumbing down of the country. Xmas lectures with zero maths content is another example.

      I agree with Diana to some extent. Today’s kids have access to the kind of technology and resources which makes finding answers and solutions easier and faster. I have heard some parents of kids of these days say that their kids are smart because they know how to operate a computer and smart phones. back in my growing up years having a computer was a luxury and one could have it only if one was working in computer science related work. Engineers have made regular-human-friendly technology, and THAT is why even a kid can use it. It is smart engineering that should be appreciated.
      But again, as Diana said, personal experiences and anecdotes might be interpreted as biased data collection and a proper dataset needs to be collected for proper analysis.

      I think the way children learn has definitely changed due to new technology being available, so not necessarily more/less intelligent they just have different skills
