When I haven’t done well in tests it’s because I haven’t practiced enough – I’ve thought I’ve understood something until I got to the exam, and then I couldn’t remember what I needed to do properly. So my advice is always to practice as much as you can.

I was pretty average at maths in school, but I always managed to pass (sometimes it was close though!)
yes, first time when we got mathematical analysis/calculus as a separate subject
When we had the first test, I knew that I still didn’t understand the matter properly so I expected 3 on this test (the notes are 1=fail, 2=pass, 3=good, 4=very good, till 5=excellent).
And I got… 1! >:(
I was also struggling with probabilities for a while, getting barely 2s on each test for months
