good question. I live in London so you’d need to win more than a million to retire! but… I would probably work part time instead of full time and spend more time travelling and branching out into other things like working with charities or politics…

Not enough to retire on I am afraid. Given that, with my family history, I am likely to live at least another 45 years, a million pounds isn’t enough to cover a comfortable, interesting life for that period of time, especially taking inflation into account!
Also, I enjoy my job, so wouldn’t want to retire. It would mean that I could work reduced hours, which would be the idea best of both situations.

I would still do what I do, but I would be more relaxed.
Why? Because I enjoy my job, but it is always on fixed-term contracts. So if I had a lot of money, it would not be a problem if I had no job for a while (between two fixed contracts).

I would probably continue in research as I would get bored quickly, I maybe would take a few more holidays though and work from somewhere a bit sunnier
