  More powerful computers have certainly enabled advancements in AI, but you also need useful, efficient algorithms to run on the computers to solve tasks that humans currently undertake. There are new developments and results being reported all the time that are increasing the effectiveness of the results of software programmes, so I think you will see improvements emerging over the next decade, but these won’t be anywhere near human-level intelligence.
