Question: say, i wanted to become an economist or advisor for my friend who works as a fisherman, or in the entrepreneurial buisiness of fishing or making a profit by selling it to a local retailer/market, what level of maths would i have to take? uni? a level?

  You would need to have a reasonable understanding of statistics and financial maths. A maths A-level focusing on statistics would be a good idea, as would Business Studies. Taking those skills to a higher level after school would also be a good idea, but if you only wanted to focus on local businesses, you might find an apprenticeship or a job working with someone with a company in that area just as valuable.

  Probably A level is sufficient, you would need to l;ookup, google. quite a bit to get all necessary information.
  You should asl obe good with spreadsheets, including pivot tables
  Degree not necessay, unless you want to beprofessional accountant or economist
