      Some things changed since I went to school there and now I don’t know all the details, but generally:
      — you have primary school for 8 years, general, stuff, and it is obligatory for everyone; first four years you have only one or two teachers and 4-5 subjects, from 5th to 8th grade you have separate subjects (geography, history, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.).
      — then you go 4 yeras in so called “gymnasium” if you want to study, or you go to a specialised school which will prepare you for working after it (as nurse, electrician, hairdresser, etc.)
