      I did

      Standard Grade (Scottish GCSE) Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Music, Graphic Design, German and Geography

      Highers (Scottish A levels); Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry, Music, History and Modern Studies (Politics) and Advance higher Maths (further maths)

      Then I did a degree (BSc) in Mathematical Biology and PhD in Applied Maths

      high school (approximately A level): maths

      studies (BsC + MsC): electrical engineering, major in telecommunications

      PhD: computer science
      PhD topic: machine translation (sub-field of natural language processing/computational linguistics)

      Irish state exams taken at age 18 (Leaving Certificate): English, Irish, Maths, Applied Maths, French, Physics, Chemistry, Accountancy
      Undergraduate degree: BA (Hons) Mathematics
      PhD in Statistics (in developing statistical methods for checking if food is what it claims to be, specificially using non-invasive methods, so that the food is still suitable for consumption afterwards).
      I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (a PGCHE), which is a teaching qualification for those who teach in universities.
