Question: What types of patterns do you use in your job

I find patterns that can be written as mathematical equations that lets us answer questions. Lots of the patterns I find are curves such as understanding the amount of different elements from the periodic table in water. I also see how commonly a number occurs in a data set and that lets me create a distribution – that’s a statistical term which lets me estimate or work out how likely it is that I will get a certain answer.
