The school system in Serbia is different so I didn’t have GCSE.
When I went to school, the 9th year was common, then you could choose your general direction in 10th grade: mathematical-technical, natural sciences, languages or social-economic. I choose mathematical-technical courses so I had more mats than the others, and also descriptive geometry which I found totally and utterly cool.
For my GCSE equivalent in India (ICSE) I studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, geography, History, Computer Sc., English, and Bengali. I had an average of 94.4% with the highest in Computer Sc. (100) and Chemistry (97).
I studied Maths (twice), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, German, English Language, Technical Drawing and their was a ninth that I can’t remember. Very STEM heavy. Of course, back in the 1980s they were O levels, GCSEs started a couple of years after I left school.
I did Maths, Advanced Maths (this is no longer available – it basically included 1/3 of the content of the AS-Level core stuff), Double Science (this included biology, chemistry and physics – triple science wasn’t offered), English, English Literature, ICT, 1/2 course RE, History, German, Spanish and Art.
